Privacy Policy for NextGen Helper Extension
Effective Date: October 21, 2025
NextGen Helper ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our Chrome extension ("the Extension"). By using the Extension, you consent to these practices.
1. Information We Collect
We collect the following data to provide core functionality:
- Authentication Data: Google account email and profile (via OAuth) for secure login. No passwords are stored.
- Appointment/Referral Data: Names, DOB, gender, email, mobile, notes, and status (fetched from our secure API). This is health-related data handled per HIPAA guidelines.
- Local Preferences: Selected locations and session tokens (stored in browser localStorage only).
We do not collect browsing history, device info, or unrelated personal data.
2. How We Use Your Information
- Authenticate and personalize your dashboard.
- Sync appointments/referrals with our backend for real-time updates.
- Improve UX (e.g., remember filters).
Data is processed locally or via encrypted HTTPS calls to our AWS servers. We do not sell, rent, or share data with third parties except as required for service (e.g., Google for auth).
3. Data Storage and Security
- Local Storage: Tokens and preferences in browser (cleared on logout).
- Backend: Encrypted at rest (AWS); access logged and audited.
- Retention: Session data deleted on logout; API data retained as needed for your account (you can request deletion via armi.integration@gmail.com).
We use industry-standard security (HTTPS, JWT tokens) and comply with HIPAA for health data.
4. Your Rights and Choices
- Access/Delete: View/clear data in extension settings or contact us.
- Opt-Out: Uninstall the extension to stop all collection.
For questions, email armi.integration@gmail.com. We may update this policy—check back periodically.
